Project: Data for Change - brief & first research
Brief: Explore ways to engage the public in air pollution, drawing a relationship between the data that outlines the issue and the public and producing a data visualisation or interrogating and visualising data to inform your communications.
This project is run as a live brief in partnership with Rosie Riley from Imperial College.
The official London Air app is very simple but it definitely shows the most important information. In my opinion is might be difficult for people to figure out how it works when someone is not used to mobile applications. It's good to have the whole range of the air pollution levels available but when they are all presented at the same time it makes it a little bit hard to understand and some people might be confused. Even though the number system is more visual, the interface should be more eye-appealing for users.
